Quotes from Teamworks Students

"First, let me start by saying WOW. Bear's behavior has been wonderful since he returned from InBoard training. He still gets a bit overly excited when we first see new people, but he's a lot easier to manage than he used to be. And his normal, everyday behavior has been great. Thank you!" Adam R.
"We cannot believe the difference in our two pups after InBoard Training!  They are such a joy to be with now that they know basic manners.  Everywhere I go with them, people cannot believe the transformation.Susan G.
"We have thoroughly enjoyed all of my classes at teamworks. The instructors we have had so far have been wonderful. THANK you for picking a great staff and offering such a great service."

"Once again the Teamworks group out did themselves by putting on another excellent event.   Many thanks to everyone who helped put the trial together.  We had a great time!! "

"Our dog Sam has been through Teamworks' Dominant Dogs and Canine
Good Citizen classes and I was so thrilled when he passed his test and
earned his certificate!
He is better behaved in our home and I am so much more confident now
about taking him out in public around people and dogs."

My dog and I attended the Fearful Fido class, experienced 100% success,
and had an absolute blast doing so. Prior to this class my dog was afraid
of traffic cones, blowing flags, trash in the streets, potted plants that
weren't there yesterday, the Christmas tree, basically any object that
was "new" tohim. He came into the Fearful Fido class
literally tiptoeing with his tail down low (hard for a StandardPoodle!), but
Fearful Fidos class changed all that, and most importantly we did it while
we ALL had enormous fun! Through play and positive reinforcement we
conquered all fear. My dog will actually seek out new objects now and
deliberately approach them to check them out!
Thank you Teamworks!

My 76 year old mother was given a Wheaten Terrier puppy after my dad
passed, to keep her company. (Not MY idea!) I immediately thought it
was a bad idea when I realized that none of our family knew anything
about understanding how a dog thinks, and how to work with them!
Teamworks Canine Good Citizen was
recommended to us by a friend, and 7 weeks later we were stunned and
amazed when she received her CGC certification, and was doing all the
things we never thought she would! I can't wait for the Therapy Dog Class,
she will be wonderful with animal assisted therapy!

Just to say 'thanks' to you and your 2 volunteers for making our test on Saturday night less intimidating than it might have been! Very professionally run - good job! C Fenton
Wow is all I can say after your trial this weekend.  You folks are
wonderful. I went from ring to ring with little time in between but never
felt rushed, pushed or stressed.  I was amazed when the gate steward for advanced jumpers came to get me because I was missing my walk thru. Totally forgot I was even in that class:) I will definitely be back next year. Thanks again.

"I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed our in-home consultation with you.  You were great (positive, clear, encouraging), I learned a ton, and well It really helped me to feel confident that I'm not a failure at being a dog trainer.   Now we're having a great time and seeing the results that I was hoping for (no more barking/lunging).  We have been using our gentle leaders with PRIDE and practicing a lot.  Anyway, I just wanted to send you a note of THANK YOU! You have really  helped me and my woofie family.  I cant wait to do more with Teamworks".

Thank you AGAIN!

"I just wanted to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all you have done to help our family deal with our many dog issues.  Your diagnoses and advice were always exactly on target, and I can’t tell you how appreciative I am...I really loved the fact that you were so down-to-earth and warm and loving with our dogs.  Most important, you were incredible with the kids and working with the family as a whole to solve the problem.  I will recommend you as the best to anyone who has dog issues, and I am sure we will be consulting you in the future, as sharing a household with three rescue dogs and two young children is not always the easiest endeavor."

Sincerely,
J. Kochman and family

If I could give a review more than five stars, I would do it in a heartbeat for Teamworks Dog Training. I can't rave to enough people about our experience!

Long story short, we have two female dogs that want to be alpha, and we've had some behavior problems that we're rather worried about. Michele, the in-home trainer, came highly recommended from a friend for "serious behavior problems," so we signed up for an in-home consultation. Michele is a registered trainer and a certified dog obedience instructor and dog behavior counselor (she has a plethora of accredidations to her name), so I felt like we were in pretty good hands.

We had to fill out a massive questionnaire before the consultation that Michele could look over. And before I go further, it's not cheap. Our two-hour in-home consult ran us 150$. But now that we've gone through it, I would have paid that easily, and more, to experience Michele's wealth of knowledge and the confidence that she gave us.

Michele listened attentively as we explained the variety of problems we've been having and the things we've been trying, letting her know various examples of what's worked and what hasn't. She made us feel really good about the way we treat our dogs and gave us confidence for things we're already doing to help them. And the best part - she's super honest, so when she told us she thought we could rectify the problems, I knew she wasn't just giving us an earful. She truly cares about dogs and their owners and making their lives as peaceful as possible.

In addition to in-home consults for serious problems, Michele and her co-trainers offer a huge variety of classes, ranging from dominance and aggression classes to leash manners to agility classes for well-trained dogs. Michele also offers boarding in her beautiful home where she does daily training with the dogs and videotapes it so the owners can view after picking up their babies. She also bathes the dogs before returning them to you - and it's all for $40 a night. I've never boarded a dog of my own before, but for the all-inclusive package, and the unbelievably capable and caring hands they go into, that's worth it to me.

If you have a dog with behavior problems - or just want to get some further training for your already well-behaved pooch - give Teamworks a look now!

Sadie is adjusting well after her In-Board training. She actually did a down-stay the entire time we ate dinner last night. Amazing! My 5-year old summed it up best "Sadie seems gooder" :)

Over the last few months I have successfully completed two Teamworks classes at the Raleigh location with my (retired racing) Greyhound.  Our experience was definitely very positive and rewarding which I feel was due to the excellent instructors that we were so fortunate to have.

Both Mandy and Christie are knowledgeable professionals who are also patient, kind, and understanding.  We had a variety of breeds in both classes with all different personalities and tendencies.  They used a variety of techniques to achieve the desired results in various situations, always in a positive, encouraging, and can-do manner.  This resulted in making both owners and pets feel comfortable and confident in reaching our goals for certification.  At no point did I witness any doubt in either one of them regarding the successful completion of their students, both human and animal.  They made themselves available for questions both in and out of class and were very responsive in all cases.

Two years ago, we adopted Teddy, a female Greyhound, at the age of eight.  She obviously had not been socialized at all - for the first six months we could only pet her when she was laying down in her corner spot, otherwise she would run from us.

Teddy was extremely nervous for our first couple of classes but never did I doubt Teddy would succeed under Mandy's expert teaching followed by the same under Christie.  Teddy has made amazing progress over the last few months and successfully completed both classes.  She now approaches people for attention and seems to enjoy it.  And once introduced to a new environment, she much more quickly becomes comfortable and confident.

Thank you for having such a wonderful staff.  In addition to Mandy and Christie, their main assistants, Susan and Barbara were also terrific.  They were obviously chosen with the care and kindness that was demonstrated.  Please let them all know how much they were appreciated.
